Why are you a therapist?

I have always loved working with people in various roles, a fascination with psychology and supporting others led me to become a therapist.

I started out in relationship work, then individual work and then became a supervisor. I now practice all 3 roles.

I believe we all make meaning differently but through therapy we can get to know ourselves better and start to understand parts of ourselves we cannot see in isolation. The therapeutic relationship is the vehicle to healing, so building trust through respect, compassion, and being ethical is vital.

Put simply I love my job as a therapist and believe it is a privilege to spend time with people supporting them to explore their experiences and their inner world.

What do clients come to therapy with you for?

Anything and everything that affects mental health and general wellbeing. That can be depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, loss, relationship issues, work stress, illness, gender issues, sexual orientation, spiritual issues, existential fears, to name a few.
